Coach Kevin McIlvain takes over as Head Coach after 3 years as the Assistant Coach at The Woodlands.  Coach McIlvain will look to continue the tradition of excellence that Coach Kendall has developed on the team.  In Coach Kevin McIlvain's time as the assistant, the team won the Regional Championship all 3 years and reached their program high ranking of #3 in 2022.  The team has advanced numerous individuals to state in the Spring each year.

 
Coach McIlvain joined the Highlanders after 16 years as the Head Coach at Seven Lakes High School. Coach McIlvain attended Midland High School and played tennis at Southwest Missouri State University.  McIlvain transferred to the University of Texas at Austin and earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing and his alternative certification from the University of St Thomas.

Coach Brett Kendall led the Highlander Tennis program from 2014-24 Kendall led the Woodlands High School to 10 consecutive undefeated District Team Tennis Championships and eight consecutive Regional Semi-Final appearances, including 4 Regional Final Triumphs in 2020,21,22,23. In Spring Tennis the Highlander girls won 9 straight Spring Championships and the boys won 8 straight. TWHS reached their highest State ranking in '22 at #3 in 6A. Also, the Highlanders won their first ever individual State Championship in Boys Doubles in 2023.
